Christmas Day

So on Christmas Eve, myself, Matt, Becky, Alice, Mom, Dad, Mary, Fred & Cathy went to midnight mass. Matt, Becky, Alice and I slept over at the house and were able to wake up Christmas morning with the family. We had a delicious breakfast ...mmmmm breakfast cheesecake ...drools..... and then it was time to open presents. Santa came, lots of presents under the tree. Since Alice was the only child there, the day was sorta focused on her...

Alice sleeping at the end of the day ...it was a long day

Everyone hanging out and playing a trivia game

Everyone hanging out and playing triva/eating dessert

Aunt Ann really loved my truffles ...

Alice was sorta mesmerized by my earrings

Alice enjoyed pushing my neck as far back as possible....she had a little obsession with me on Christmas, and was following me around. When I put on my hoodie over my dress cause I was cold, she had to have one on and look like me too! It was quite adorable.

Cathy didnt quite understand how to put "Don't Break the Ice" together

Alice playing "Don't Break the Ice"

Against Matt's wishes...Fred settled in to put together the little kitchen he bought Alice. Matt really really didnt want it set up, but once Fred started working on it, he decided to pitch in and help.

Alice was starting to get sleepy, so Becky settled her down for a little nap....but that didn't happen. Alice ended up staying up the whole day.

Matt & Alice....picking her nose...must be a Rice thing!

Dad & Mom...unfortunately this is where my camera decided to start acting up

Alice loved opening my presents. she was helping Mary pass them out, but then wanted to open mine. She'd walk towards me and say "take ribbon off" and then she took it out of my hands so she could open it. If there wasnt a ribbon on it she'd walk towards me and Matt would say "give that to Auntie" and she'd say "no me open" haha!

Alice really enjoyed pushing the shopping cart around. She piled presents inside and delivered them to people, and cleaned up wrapping paper and put it inside and pushed over to the garbage.

Alice walking with a present. She was very helpful to Mary in passing out presents. At one point Mary handed her a pretty heavy present (which turned out to be a queen sized sheet set) and Alice was walking with it going "help me help me" and holding it out. I think the present she is holding is a hacksaw I got, she was upset when I told her she couldn't open it.

Alice opening presents.....

Watches for Matt's eye rolling....hehe
